Encouragement - keep being creative

This is an excellent, brief blip that describes how it's okay to have great creative ambitions and to realize that your own work doesn't meet those expectations.

  1. Awesome! Erin mentioned you and I ran across your blog - I need to plaster this quote on my wall. It's so easy to see all these great artisans in the world and feel like they never had to struggle through periods of self-doubt and frustration with their progress. When I'm only looking at the results of their breakthroughs it can be easy to forget the amount of attempts and mistakes it must have taken to get there. That's when i start to feel like I'm "falling behind" but this quote really hits it on the mark. It's normal to go through that and it's because of the level of taste/the level of work I want to create that I'm not satisfied when I haven't reached that level. My level of taste drives me to improve, it doesn't have to become a source of discouragement :) it can be a source of hope and encouragement since it indicates that I have potential to make my own breakthrough someday :)

    Good stuff ^^
